Got a burning question about an aspect of medical history?
Got a burning question about whether or not Henry VIII had a burning sensation when he urinated?
Always wanted to see Napoleon Bonaparte's medical record writ large?
I welcome any suggestions for blog posts - Leave them right here and I'll do my best to address them. Eventually. (Hey, I make no promises for speed of delivery..)
Ooh, I just want *more*! You write well, and I find these subjects really interesting. :-)
ReplyDeleteAww bless your heart :). I'll do my best it just takes so long...*exhausted sigh* (In know pull out the tiny violins..)
DeleteI've just read your piece mentioning Pete Evans. Thought I'd share this with you on how the 'natural' industry goes.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I were seeking to conceive and were running out of time. We went to a 'natural' birthing clinic. This included an interview with an in-house GP and iridiagnosis. The iridiagnosis of my wife picked up all sorts of things and these could be treated with about $1000 worth of potions!!
A little later my wife, still concerned, sought the advice of a highly regarded Obstetrician (a prof) and Prince of Wales Hospital. Same history as to the aforementioned GP. Immediate concern about the state of wife's reproductive gear, and recommended for an exploratory laproscopy. End result: adhesions and endometriosis all over the place. More surgery. A little later: baby boy.
